We are seeking world-class technologists to join our growing High Frequency Trading Technology team. As a performance-oriented developer, you will face a wide array of technical challenges, including those involving the optimization of performance-critical code. You will: develop tools to monitor performance; analyze system performance, identifying opportunities for improvement; prototype and experiment with performance optimizations; and develop, optimize, and harden the performance-critical component of the system.

Successful candidates will have at a minimum a bachelor’s degree in computer science and experience analyzing performance requirements and designing systems that can keep up with very large volumes of real-time data. In addition to experience using programming languages such as Java, C, and C++, the ideal candidate will have a range of technical competencies, including algorithms, data structures, multi-threaded applications, distributed systems, performance optimizations, performance analysis, kernel and device driver work, and hardware architecture. Candidates will typically have strong analytical and organizational skills, exceptional programming skills, a true love of building quality software, and a team spirit. Large-scale systems experience is highly desirable. Finance experience is not necessary.
