Cerner has a need for Web Developers that will be responsible for building engaging and efficient websites and web services for consumers, physicians and healthcare professionals. Web Developers are key to our success in creating a higher quality of patient care through the use of technology. You will be involved in the design and creative process while working with solution designers and visual designers to define information architecture, assist with usability testing, deployment and support.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in web development or web design or applicable experience
-5+ years of experience and proficient in website technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
-3+ years of experience with dynamic scripting languages (Python, Ruby) or modern programming languages (Groovy, Scala, Java)
-Full understanding of cross-browser rendering capabilities
-Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (Jquery, YUI, etc.)
-Understanding of common website workflows, concepts and user experience patterns
-Live in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City area

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience in one or more web application frameworks (Rails, Grails, DJango, Spring)
-Familiarity and experience with Photoshop, Fireworks and Illustrator
-Knowledge of website traffic analysis techniques, SEO, and usability testing processes
-Demonstrable experience in building and supporting websites
-Previous experience deploying large, highly scalable websites
-Selenium and automated testing experience
