  • (Austin, TX)

We’re a subscription software company with offices in LA and Austin. We work with schools to design and maintain their school websites. All sites run on a custom-built CMS, and our support team helps schools with anything the CMS cannot do as well as with helping educate and train users.

When we hire front-end developers, we look for those who understand what it means to say “semantic HTML” and who have read parts of the HTML or CSS specs before. You’ll start working on our support team but the sky’s the limit as far as what you can do.

We promote quickly internally if you have the right skills and the right attitude. Our business has steadily grown for 10 years and we expect even higher growth in 2012, so we need people to answer support tickets and slice PSDs into pixel-perfect (or close in IE7 ;) websites.

We also have plenty of room on our product team for someone with a passion for UI design, as well as a growing need for front-end developers with a knowledge of back-end development.

    You should:

    • Be an expert in writing semantic HTML and robust CSS
    • At least know your way around Photoshop
    • Have read pubs like A List Apart and 24 Ways

If you don’t meet all of these requirements, you better be a self-starter ready to pick things up from our more advanced staff while teaching yourself plenty.

    Other plusses:

    • Javascript experience
    • Design sensibility
    • Interest/experience in new front-end standards like HTML5 and CSS3

We are located in downtown Austin and are excited to hear from you!

Job Perks: Competitive hourly with paid time off, paid overtime, and health benefits. Fun environment.

Apply: Please email us an introduction in the email body, a résumé (PDFs only), and at least two links to sites that you have worked on with a description of the work you did. We value your ability to communicate.
