We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic Software Engineer with programming experience in a Linux environment to work on our execution strategy platform. The candidate will participate in all aspects of the development life cycle, from application design through unit testing/QA training. Qualifications:
• Solid C++ development (5+ years)
• Programming experience on UNIX/Linux platform.
• Passionate about performance, scalability, and high-availability.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, design and implementation.
• Comfortable with multi-tasking and meeting project deadlines.
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility for application development.
• High attention to detail.
The following items are a plus:
• Financial industry experience
• Experience designing and implementing socket serving applications.
• Database experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
• Experience using version control software, e.g. CVS.
• Working knowledge of the FIX protocol.
• Some Perl scripting experience.
