Crane & Co., Inc., a premier manufacturer of fine stationery and currency papers, is currently seeking an e-Commerce Manager to be located at our NYC office. The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for managing all e-commerce activities of the Division, including contributions to the strategic direction for the e-commerce business and executing annual plans to achieve sales goals, expense management and operating profit objectives. Activities supporting those goals include:
- devising, implementing and leading initiatives for growth,
- developing the appropriate merchandise assortment for the e-commerce business,
- planning and executing marketing activities including search optimization, paid search and email campaigns,
- driving traffic and customer acquisition and retention while generating sales results.
In addition, the incumbent will direct the day-to-day activities of the e-commerce support team, including inventory management and product launch personnel. They will work with peers managing IT support, Customer Service and contracted agencies supporting e-commerce. This individual will coordinate any outsourced call center activity including call center scripts, processes and service levels.
Qualifications:
· MBA degree, preferably with emphasis in marketing and /or e-commerce.
· 8+ years of consumer product/e-business management experience.
· Specific experience in web site redesign and leading an e-commerce business through an aggressive growth curve.
· Experience with on-line marketing driving sales growth and customer acquisition, utilizing email, display advertising and social media.
· Experience managing a merchandise assortment targeted to specific sales and gross profit goals.
· Proven ?hands-on? problem solver. Flexible, able to manage time effectively and juggle overlapping priorities.
· An excellent communicator, comfortable leading initiatives and managing across functional areas.
· Marketing theory and application to e-commerce.
· Analytics and Insight Experience, with an ability to dashboard, analyze and forecast e-commerce opportunities.
· Awareness of current state and projected trends of e-commerce industry capabilities.
· Comprehensive understanding of operations, budgets, financial, marketing and merchandising analysis, paybacks and ROI analysis related to e-commerce.
· Knowledge of computers and e-commerce capability and terminology.
· An understanding of Social, Business and Custom personalized stationery product lines is a plus.
· Ability to travel overnight up to 25% of the time, primarily from NY office to Crane?s offices in Dalton, MA.
