Blast Advanced Media is looking for an energetic and creative individual who will join our team and make an immediate positive contribution. We need someone who’s a multi-tasker and self-directed with strong talent in designing and maintaining beautiful, usable web pages, email marketing templates, ads, landing pages, and other online marketing assets.
This Senior Web/UI Designer will work closely with our usability and marketing strategists and be responsible for ensuring the quality of their work, cross-browser testing and identifying and troubleshooting issues. We would like this individual to be well-versed with usability best practices and SEO, as well as online marketing best practices. You must be able to take creative direction as well as work independently and handle several high priority projects at once in a fast-paced environment. Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills are imperative.

MUST HAVE:
- Impressive design skills with a Strong Online Portfolio
- Heavy attention to details, half your design time is spent looking at individual pixels
- Rock-solid in front-end development; XHTML, CSS (including sprites), and JavaScript
- Solid understanding of Grid Layouts - 960 fixed & fluid
- Experience developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
- Firm grasp of UI/UX - You've read, or at least understand, Steve Krug's "Don't' Make Me Think Web Design"
- An ability to discern when to follow strategy and when to propose fresh creative solutions
- Experience working with clients and presenting design elements, mood boards and mockups
- Mastery of the main Adobe Creative Suite apps
- Passion for what you do and progressing your skills
PLUSES:
- Previous Agency experience
- 3+ years experience in designing dynamic websites, landing pages and email newsletters
- Knowledge of marketing strategy and online marketing best practices
- Experience designing and developing for desktops, iPhone, iPad and other devices
- Experience with jQuery
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Intermediate to Advanced understanding of Flash and ActionScript
- Experience working with CMS and Analytics
