Description:
Salesforce.com is the enterprise cloud computing company. Our portfolio of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, including our award-winning customer relationship management (CRM), has revolutionized the ways that customers manage and share business information over the Internet. Salesforce.com has evolved from a startup founded by four people in a cramped San Francisco apartment ten years ago to a company described by Barrons as the fastest growing business software company in the world. With more than 3,800 employees, over $1.3B in annual revenues, and over 68,000 customers worldwide, we are proud to contribute to the success of companies of all sizes, in all industries, around the globe. According to Gartner, 25% of all software will be deployed via the cloud computing model by 2011. No matter how you slice it, the future of software is cloud computing. Consider joining the cloud computing leader, Salesforce.com, and be part of the team that is creating this future.
We are looking for experienced software developers/architects to define and implement the platform M in MVC.
A powerful but easy to use data modeling capability is a critical part of our platform. We already have a robust architecture and we need more engineering rock-stars to push the envelope even further. Imagine a web-based tool that has the simplicity and ease-of-use of Access, with all the power of an Oracle back-end.
We are augmenting the team that is delivering scalable solutions in the following areas:
CORE SCHEMA - architect/optimize/refactor our custom-built O-R infrastructure tier.
CUSTOM SCHEMA - metadata-driven, UI-configurable methods for creating any data model in the Cloud
Ideal candidates have experience developing robust Java frameworks for delivering database-intensive web applications. We are looking for engineers with a deep understanding of relational database concepts and the ability to expose database services through APIs or an interactive user interface.
Everything we develop runs in real-time, at cloud scale, supporting millions of simultaneous requests thru our API as well as our UI.
