DYMO is seeking an experienced software developer to join our small team of experts developing application software for PC-connected printers. DYMO is the world's leading manufacturer of desktop label printers and part of Newell Rubbermaid, a Fortune 500 corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain application software and Software Developer's kit (SDK) components for DYMO Label printer products on Windows platform
Help support SDK - provide technical advice/support for DYMO vertical market developers as needed
Participate in scrum development process with cross-functional team (Development, Tech Support, QA, Documentation, Marketing)
Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, related engineering degree or proven industry experience
5+ years experience developing application software or components for consumer-level mass market desktop applications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent design and coding skills using C#, Java, C++, or equivalent
Strong fundamental understanding of Object Oriented design principles.
Excellent knowledge of Windows desktop application development (.NET WPF/Windows Forms, GDI, GDI+ COM, ATL)
Fast learner. Willing and able to quickly get up to speed with new technologies and skills
Desire and ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Extremely productive and able to keep increasing productivity
Knowledge of Windows printing system, fonts or graphics a plus
Experience developing on Mac OSX and/or Linux a plus
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/TDD development methodologies a plus
