Image are looking for a Technical Architect who will be responsible
for managing, creating and implementing all Technical Aspects of our exciting software
development programs, ensuring complete technical synergy across all platforms
and applications. From server side architecture to rich web based mobile app?s
and web sites.
Essential
Functions and Responsibilities:

To lead and give technical guidance to all development teams and ensure
strategic technical direction is maintained.
·
To identify requirements and write technical briefs and specifications
for development teams.
·
Act as liaison between ITS and IPS / Technical Department
·
Manage overall control of application versions and technical
certification of products.
·
Lead technical reviews and product testing with IPS
·
Manage post certified software bugs / development with Development teams
·
Liaise with all vendor PM?s / Technical managers
·
Work with Technology team to develop project scope and contribute ideas
and perspectives to influence final product
- Report on project time lines and variables of a project to the Director of Technology Services.
Skills
- understanding of Agile project management methodology
- Hand-coded (X)HTML with a strong understanding of HTML5
- SQL & relational database design
- Accessibility and usability issues
- ActionScript 2.0/3.0 with knowledge of MVC and other frameworks
- ASP.Net 2.0/3.0/3.5 with C# with knowledge of MVC, and possibly have a knowledge of C# version 4
- SQL Server 2000/5/8
- Windows Server 2000/3/8 R2
- XML/XSL-T, XHTML/CSS
- JavaScript, and libraries, including JQuery, Prototype* (including AJAX)
- Photoshop CS
- Firewalls and networking topology
- Knowledge and experience of administering IIS web servers and knowledge and experience of SVN integration are essential.
- Deep technical experience across .Net, J2EE and Open Source technologies and be able to express alternative solutions based on these.
- Strong development capabilities and be keen to get hands dirty and continue developing code, should the need arise.
- E-Commerce experience and an understanding of the alternative technologies for on-line commerce and the different approaches to B2C, B2B, C2C.
- Ability to communicate to business and technical audiences and produce collateral suitable for multiple audience types, both client facing and internal.
- Have a strong understanding of the key trends in web development and a well considered opinion of how the landscape is likely to develop in the next 5 years.
