POSITION OVERVIEW
iMentor, a technology-driven nonprofit social enterprise based in downtown Manhattan, is seeking a detail-oriented Manual Quality Assurance Tester to ensure the integrity our web-based application, iMentor Interactive (iMi). The QA tester will execute and develop test scripts to comprehensively test the front end of iMi. This is a part-time role at 20-30 hours/week, with flexible hours after the first few months. There is a possibility of virtual work long term.
iMentor Interactive a web-based online application that provides a full suite of tools that enable organizations to run high-quality, high-impact mentoring programs. The functions include applicant screening tools, a mentor-mentee matching algorithm, curriculum-driven email and events, and robust monitoring and reporting tools. The QA Tester will support the efforts of iMentor Interactives quickly growing member base of over 50 organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Do Something, Boys and Girls Clubs and Year Up.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, write and execute test plans and test cases
- Perform quality assurance testing, including regression testing, new feature enhancements and defect fixes.
Job Qualifications:
- Excellent manual testing skills
- Experience testing front-end web user interfaces
- At least one year of QA experience
- Clear thinker with a logical approach to problem solving
- Well organized able to meet deadlines and communicate about progress
- Ability to tolerate change and ambiguity
- Demonstrated technical writing skills to explain technical defects
- Knowledgeable about most Internet browsers (IE6, 7 & 8, FF3, Safari 4)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- A strong interest to the mission of iMentor and the possibilities of youth mentoring
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Applied Math or Business Administration or equivalent experience
Compensation:
- $30-40/hour
