We have full-time opportunities for highly talented and passionate senior front-end developers to join our team. Successful candidates will produce the technical development for large-scale, complex, interactive solutions. You will be responsible to help define, advise, code and test web applications using CSS, HTML, JavaScript and Flash.
First things first. You will need an excellent command of all facets of front-end web development and experience in all phases of the web application development life-cycle. It is just as important that you have a strong work ethic, are a problem-solving whiz, have notable organizational skills, and above all, are detail-oriented. The ideal candidate is comfortable meeting deadlines in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. If you can boldly check off those things, you have piqued our interest.
Interactive skills are one thing, interaction is another—on top of excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills are a must as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. An ability to discern when to follow strategy and when to propose fresh creative solutions is golden.
Prior interactive agency experience, a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to define technology requirements for client projects/propose solutions that meet client goals
- Crank out quality, well-documented code from Photoshop designs
- Help define/build cutting-edge web applications using modern web technologies and best practices
- Write/communicate technical specifications to team members and clients
- Help, solve and recommend solutions to solve complex technical problems
- Mentor, coach and develop junior team members
Qualifications:
- Rock-solid in front-end development; XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Expert knowledge of at a least one JavaScript library and what it takes to create one
- In-depth knowledge of DOM
- Experience with Eclipse, SVN, and QA tools
- Adobe CS fluency, as relates to front-end development, including graphic slicing and optimization techniques
- Support A-grade browsers and accessibility
- Best SEO coding practices
- Expertise in additional technologies/platforms/programming skills (e.g., ASP.NET, MYSQL, PHP, Objective C, ActionScript), a plus
- 7+ years prior agency development experience in internet advertising, product advertising, and/or site development, strongly preferred
- Prior experience managing a tech team of developers, preferred
- BS in computer science/engineering specialty in technology/engineering areas; applicable work experience considered
