FactSet is currently seeking a talented and motivated person to join the Real Time Quotes Services Team.
FactSets Real Time Engineers deal with data from financial markets around the world. The ever increasing volume of this data and the analytics that our clients want is growing by the day. The job of the quotes team is to take this data, normalize it, and most importantly store it in a manner that is easily accessible to our clients and other systems throughout the company.
Storing this information requires building a large-scale distributed system that scales gracefully. You must understand how networks work and how to write high-performance networked applications from a client and a server perspective.

Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- A solid foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Experience programming in C++ or Java
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux
- Self-starter, highly motivated
Strongly recommended:
- Excellent understanding of OS, kernel and CPU architectures
- Network programming
- Threaded programming
- Background in distributed systems
- Event-driven programming
