We are looking for a Systems Adminsitrator to join our operations team. The ideal candidate has experience in setting up and managing a video streaming infrastructure and/or has a proven track record in managing large and highly available infrastructure, and is looking for a challenging career opportunity to design and build a delivery network from the ground up.
As a member of the operations team, you will have a direct impact on the business, and will be incentivized to contribute to the success of the the company. You will be expected to work hard, but will have a unique growth potential.
Responsabilities:
- Design, implement, manage, and scale components of the Livestream infrastructure and content delivery network, working in concert with the software and platform architects.
- Help build highly available and self healing systems.
- Continuously optimize infrastructure usage and costs.
- Develop and manage deployment processes.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and Unix systems administration, including routine and emergency operations and debugging.
- Full knowledge of network design and protocols.
- Perl, Python or Ruby programming expertise.
- Able to perform scripting to automate routine tasks and continually enhance our service monitoring.
- Experience with monitoring systems and tools (Nagios, Cacti, etc).
- Knowledge in hardware and application level load-balancing.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
- DB and SQL knowledge.
Desired:
- Experience in designing highly available and fault tolerant systems.
- Experience in dealing with large scale systems, with hundreds of servers/roles.
- Knowledge of routing (layer 2/3), and experience with BGP multi-homing and managing multiple POPs, networks, and CDNs.
- Experience with Cloud infrastructures.
