We are a network security technology company based in San Francisco’s Financial District. Our company provides a wide range of high-performance security software for embedded and non-embedded devices. We’re seeking talented, motivated individuals to expand our capabilities and continually improve our ability to deliver products of the highest caliber.
A member of the technical staff is responsible for the design and implementation of security-related software projects. He or she will work with a combined team of tech writers, QA engineers, and support engineers to produce complete software products covering project documentation (design, support, documentation planning), software test, and support resources for the product once released
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Working with customers and partners on product requirements
• Design and implementation for security-related software projects.
• Create software design and architecture documentation.
• Work with QA to develop unit, functional, and system tests for authored software.
• Write API documentation using tools such as doxygen or docsys.
• Provide timely response to support engineering and to customers directly regarding software defects and product customization requests.
• Act as a technical leader for more junior members of the engineering staff.
Desired Skill set:
• Solid grasp of computer science and programming fundamentals.
• Strong background in distributed systems, operating systems, and protocols.
• Working knowledge of at least 2 of the following areas: security, TCP/IP, device drivers, Linux kernel
• Hardcore C developer
• IPsec and IPv6 expertise
• Experience with scripting languages for automated testing, such as Python, Tcl/Tk or Ruby.
• Linux/Unix environment experience.
• Must be a team player and be enthusiastic to learn and explore new technologies
Education:
• BSEE or BSCS, or related experience.
