Job Responsibilities
As a
software developer, on the Web Apps Team,
you will use your Javascript, PHP and CSS knowledge to produce (and further) our business-class web
applications; used by hundreds of thousands of customers every day. You?ll join
a high-energy team in producing impeccable software and applying some of the best
engineering practices in the industry.
Requirements
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- Several years of experience with Linux
- Several years of experience with PHP
- Several years of experience with Web 2.0 technologies (Javascript, AJAX, CSS, HTML, SOAP)
- Several years of experience with a relational database (MySQL , MS-SQL, Sybase, Oracle)
- A solid understanding of OOD (object oriented development
- A good understanding of standard algorithms
- Experience optimizing systems for stability, scalability, and efficiency
- Experience building small and large, multi-tiered, web apps is a PLUS
Successful Candidates will...
- Be familiar with good design (patterns, cohesion/coupling, S.O.L.I.D.)
- Have experience with Agile engineering practices
- Have an understanding of: AJAX, scalability, performance, unit testing, database indexes, security, and caching
- Have a true passion for customers and users.
