S7 Labs is a hybrid software consulting and incubator firm. We build products for clients, serve as technology advisers and partners for innovative startups, and do a little entrepreneurial dabbling on our own.
We have traditionally relied on subcontractors, but are now looking to build a permanent team. Now is the time to join a development firm with a unique business perspective!
S7 is currently partnering with Amie Street, an independent MP3 retail site with novel pricing methodologies. We are working to launch a streaming radio station with unique social functionality. The product is in internal alpha, and could use a little extra push to get it to a public beta and official launch.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in two or more of: Python, Ruby, Perl, Javascript, C, C++, Java, Lisp / Scheme.
- Comfort with Linux, *BSD, and/or OS X systems.
- Computer science degree or equivalent knowledge (coursework in algorithms, operating systems, programming languages, and databases).
- Record of improvising, adapting, overcoming, and generally getting things done.
- Position is NYC based, but will make exceptions for exceptional candidates.
