Job Description

Title: Operations Manager

Reports to: Manager of Business Administration

The Cara Program (TCP) is a non-profit organization that assists homeless and at-risk individuals to improve their skills, find full-time employment and achieve real, lasting success. Since 1991, over 2,500 individuals have received permanent jobs and intensive support services.

Purpose: To provide operational assistance and increased capacity to operations of Cleanslate Chicago.


Responsibilities Include:

1. All Staff and Intern Payroll and Timeforce (our time punch system) needs including:
i. Organizing and correcting all Cleanslate logs
ii. Entering all logs into Timeforce
iii. Ensuring coordination, entering, and approval of all staff absence requests
iv. Providing enhanced quality control on all aspects of Timeforce
2. Assisting Business Administration team with pricing process and streamlining pricing for multiple scopes of services.
3. Cost-benefit analyses for purchase of equipment, vehicles, staff efficiencies, etc.
4. Check Requests, Petty Cash drawer, and credit card receipt oversight
5. Managing all aspects of office functions â?? including ordering all supplies, organizing, counting and reporting inventory, and ensuring cleanliness of office.
6. Entering data into our Database â?? contacts, performance data, providing performance reports and quarterly updates to new and potential customers.
7. Assisting with revenue and expense projections
8. Perform additional duties as deemed necessary and appropriate by Cleanslate Management.

Skills required:

1. Highly Organized, able to create sustainable systems of organization
2. Microsoft Office knowledge, esp. Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook required, Quickbooks or other accounting software and/or payroll experience preferable.
3. High energy, personable, willing to work fast and efficiently in a short time frame.
4. Experience in creating pricing models, accounting, or cost-benefit analysis is preferred.
