Chartbeat is the real-time analytics and response service used by everyone from Time.com to Threadless to Tylenol. We're part of Betaworks and work out of an awesome studio space in Manhattan's Meatpacking District. It's a small team but the service is growing fast and we need someone with the skills to own our front-end and continue chartbeat's reputation for addictive mesmerising design.
We are looking for someone who lives and breathes JavaScript, CSS and
HTML, and loves implementing UIs. The person also needs to have a good
eye for design and is border-line obsessed with pixel perfection.
Responsibilities/Job Description
- Lead the development of the frontend UI
- Participating in the design of new features and implementing them
- Leading the architecture of the frontend
- Evolve the chartbeat frontend to work (better) on mobile platforms
- Integrate with, and possibly extend, the backend APIs
- Build widgets for external sites
Required
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4+ years in full-time frontend web development
- Extensive JS/HTML/CSS experience
- On top of things like CSS transitions and Canvas
- Have implemented major UIs/UI components before
- A love for design and pixel-level perfection
- Python experience
Preferred
- Django/Tornado experience
- Google Closure
