Located in the heart of Berlin, NumberFour is the latest venture of successful entrepreneur Marco Boerries. NumberFour builds on the foundation laid by Marcos previous products: OpenOffice (office suite), StarMoney (finance management), and Yahoo! Go (mobile internet). We are building an open platform for business application development that will create a new ecosystem for verticalized, innovative business applications.
NumberFour is looking for software engineers with a strong passion to work in this revolutionary new platform. You will be working with a team of experienced engineers in developing our HTML5 based web frontend. You will help us design and develop compelling user interfaces which are both beautiful, functional and easy to use.
Responsibilities
* Design, prototype and implement web frontend using HTML5 technologies.
* Design and develop libraries and frameworks for web applications.
* Ensure the reliability, scalability and efficiency of the web frontend.
* Code primarily in HTML, JavaScript and CSS
* Conduct design and code reviews. Work in a dynamic team oriented environment using agile methodologies.
Requirements
* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
* 2+ years of experience developing compelling web applications.
* Strong interest in product and user interface design.
* Extensive experience developing in HTML, JavaScript and CSS
* Experience developing with HTML5, CSS3 and related extensions a plus.
* Experience in developing server-side code in Java, PHP, Python or Ruby a plus.
* Experience in creating graphics and fonts a plus.
* Strong English communication skills.
* Ability to quickly learn and apply new ideas.
