Overview: Looking for two designers to create beautiful interfaces for touch screen kiosks and large resolution screens (not web)
Location: Downtown Chicago (We will POSSIBLY make exceptions if you don't live in Chicago and are so good we can't pass you up, but we will be primarily looking for designers local to Chicago, IL who can work at our office, at least half-time)
Functional Scope: User Interface design (vector - SVG), Usability, AI, Human Factor Design
Length: Around 3-5 months, still acquiring details. At least 20 hours per week, possibly more.
Start: July
You will be responsible for:
- Working directly with our technical team to create user interfaces based on technical specifications, wireframes, etc.
- Creating various aspects of touch screen user interfaces - like keyboards, dynamic menus, etc. (think iPad UI)
- Aligning your designs with brand guidelines and mood concepts to keep brand consistency
- Performing a plethora of design tasks to achieve project goals
You must:
- Be able to create beautiful interfaces in VECTOR (SVG) format
- Have an acute understanding of usability, AI, human factor design, etc.
- Be able to work directly with a technical team to fulfill their needs
- Be able to solve problems and talk through complex user interaction challenges
Requirements:
- Super-expert at Adobe Illustrator
- Strong portfolio of vector-based UI design
- Technical understanding in order to read specs and communicate with a tech team
- Positive, ambitious attitude
- Ability to meet an aggresive schedule and requirements
- Experience developing in an Agile environment is a plus

There will be some domestic travel involved, but most of the work will take place in Chicago.
