Position Description
The Senior Advisor will be part of a team that manages broad-based institutional donor management system and strategic business planning process that serves to help meet FHI's global strategic objectives. This position's main function will be to act primarily as a central point of information and corporate strategy related to USAID and other relevant US Government entities, as well as a liaison and point of contact between FHI and USAID, as needed. The incumbent should possess a strong understanding of USAID's global health and development priorities and benefits/risks to FHI.
Minimum Requirements
â?¢ M.A. plus 3-5 years or B.A. and 5-7 years of prior work experience in global health, health
research, and/or international development; overseas work experience preferred.
â?¢ Experience in business planning or business development required. Understanding of US Government funding (domestic and foreign) required; knowledge and understanding of multilateral organizations, or major foundations considered a plus.
â?¢ Specific experience in working with the USAID or working with organizations that have large USAID portfolios strongly preferred.
â?¢ Comfortable working across organizational lines in matrix teams
â?¢ At least 5-7 years working in a business development function
â?¢ Possess exemplary communication skills, analytical ability and good judgment
â?¢ Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization, as well as with external audiences
â?¢ Ability to be organized and self-directed
Must be team-player and be able to demonstrate ability to work well with
