NYC & Company, the official marketing and tourism organization of New York City, is seeking a full-time, freelance Senior Project Manager for its Interactive Media team.
NYC & Company is the official marketing and tourism organization for the City of New York, dedicated to maximizing travel and tourism opportunities throughout the five boroughs, building economic prosperity and spreading the positive image of New York City worldwide dedicated to building New York City's economy and positive image in order to achieve 50 million visitors annually by 2012.
The Senior Project Manager will be a creative, technically-skilled, organized and detail-oriented person. She or he will play a critical role in helping to manage the NYC & Company website (www.nycgo.com).
Responsibilities will include:
â?¢ Developing project timelines, flowcharts, status reports, project requirements and budget/cost estimates
â?¢ Keeping track of deliverables
â?¢ Liaising with vendors, partners and project stakeholders across NYC & Company departments
â?¢ Working with the creative and development teams to execute the requirements within project scope
â?¢ Working with VP of Product Development to communicate project status and open issues to team members and stakeholders
â?¢ Assisting with QA of new product launches and releases
This position requires a minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management within an interactive development environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and presentation skills, be capable of juggling multiple projects, and have a proven track record of managing projects from start to finish with a focus on both customer satisfaction and directional clarity for the programming and development staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required, along with a basic understanding of HTML. Experience with XML, CSS, MS Project, Cold Fusion, Flash, content management systems, UGC, and quality assurance testing will be considered strong pluses.
