What We're Looking For
Etsy is seeking an exceptional Interaction/User Interface Designer that has successfully shipped consumer web products to join our product team.
As a member of Etsy's product team, you will work with engineering, support, business, operations, and marketing to design new successful, meaningful products that help hundreds upon thousands of crafters and artisans make a living doing what they love.
We are passionate about helping people follow their passion and if you are too, then we want to talk to you! This position is based in Brooklyn, NY.
Responsibilities
- Design elegant, simple user interactions that make using Etsy a pleasurable experience
- Refine and document the visual direction of Etsy's products
- Work closely with product managers and engineers to design, implement, and ship products for etsy.com
- Write clean, standards-compliant HTML and CSS for your designs, working with our team of talented frontend engineers
Requirements
- A love of the grid and a minimalist sensibility
- Strong typography and layout skills
- Experience designing web applications
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrate experience shipping live sites
- Strong technical abilities (including HTML/CSS/JS) and ability to work closely with engineers
Recommended
- Familiarity with version control systems (such as SVN or Git)
