Ruckus Wireless, Inc, 2007 Startup of the Year and one of
the 25 Coolest Emerging Vendors is looking for a contract Web Developer for
ongoing support of our overworked Webmaster. You?ll be joining a small, highly
visible and very busy team supporting all areas of the company and should not be
afraid to get your hands dirty designing websites or writing code. You could be building new websites, assisting
with redesigns, updates/upgrades, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of
RubyOnRails, PHP, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, web standards, cross-browser
compatibility issues, and optimization techniques.
- 2+ years RubyOnRails exp
- Exp developing high-visibility
websites
- Exp hand coding of X/HTML, CSS
& familiarity w/ web standards &CSS-driven layouts
- Command of unobtrusive
Javascript/AJAX, + in-depth experience w/ jQuery & debugging tools
(Firebug, etc.)
- Exp w/ JavaScript programming
& solid understanding of DOM, DHTML &AJAX.
- Exp w/version control systems
especially Git & Github.com
- Experience integrating
front-end code w/ server-side technology on a large-scale website
- Solid understanding of
cross-browser/platform issues & code solutions for dynamic Web
applications.
- Ability to create functional
HTML pages from design mockups.
- Working knowledge of Adobe
Photoshop and Illustrator
