Who we are: Avid Life Media, a leading developer of some of the world\\\'s most cutting edge dating web sites, is looking for a talented Senior User Experience Designer / Developer to join our growing team. You must be a team player who is able to communicate well, juggle multiple projects, proactively solve problems, and deliver against tight-deadlines in a fast paced environment. Who you are: The ideal candidate is an experienced hands-on designer who is excited about new concepts and can think in terms of both wireframes and visual designs. You have worked in a product development group for leading brands, websites, and mobile devices. The position requires a strong design background in visual and interaction design, strong front-end coding skills and a portfolio of work demonstrating the range of experience. Responsibilities: You will work closely with the creative director and others to implement design with fast turnaround through all phases from concept to completion. Your main responsibilities will include: * Design and develop world class user experiences * Design publicly visible print media under tight deadlines * Create detailed specifications, wireframes and visual mockups * Execute your designs in collaboration with other design team and or the engineering team members * Work statically and/or in development environments * Create brand identities Requirements: * College or University Degree * 5+ years experience in web design * Strong information architecture skills including wireframes, site maps and process flows * Strong visual design skills with demonstrated attention to detail * Demonstrated ability to design simple and engaging user interfaces * Strong creative and technical skills including color theory, typography, layout, user interface design and production techniques. * Well-versed in the quirks of Firefox, IE6, IE7 and Safari, testing and assuring cross-browser and cross-platform quality and adherence. * Expert HTML/CSS coding skills * Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility * Comfortable working in various development environments / frameworks * Up to date with latest UI elements and technologies * Basic knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery * Basic Flash skills * Proficiency in Adobe suite of tools * Worked on various Web 2.0 and or online applications * Experience with a version control system (Git, SVN etc) * Experience working with A/B and Multi-variant tests * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to handle a project from conception to completion Great to have: * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Flash and Actionscript 3 * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery * Mobile web and application experience * Social Media experience * Illustration Skills * 3D Skills
