
This position oversees, coordinates, and implements all phases of wind and solar projects to ensure they are completed in a timely, efficient, successful and professional manner. In addition, the position seeks and develops leads, writes proposals and responds to formal RFPs for renewable energy projects throughout the Upper Midwest.
Working closely with the Systems Division Manager and ED, the Business Developer will be critical in helping to implement the vision and strategic direction of the organization.
Training will be provided to assist in familiarizing with the specific aspects of the wind and solar PV industry. Because of the nature of the small Wind industry, the ideal candidate is comfortable with dynamic processes and motivated to empower clients to bring renewable energy to the forefront.
Required Qualifications
Understanding of and passion for renewable energy
Project Management and Budget Management experience
Successful networking, lead generation and sales experience

Primary Responsibilities
Project Management (~50% of time)
â?â?â? Finalize equipment vendors and site location
â?â?â? Support clients in funding and grant processes and directed research
â?â?â? Finalize Purchase Agreement with clients
â?â?â? Provide support for system permitting
â?â?â? Assist Tech. Mgr. with interconnection
â?â?â? Direct subâ?contractors, as needed
â?â?â? Work with Tech. Mgr. to coordinate install
Business Development (~50% of time)
â?â?â? Interface with potential clients through dev. stage
â?â?â? Identify prospects through mtgs. and individual
â?â?â? Document prospects in CRM database.
â?â?â? Develop proposals and sales process until handoff to mgr.
â?â?â? Provide sales and marketing support at RE events
â?â?â? Provide other sales support as needed
Compensation for this position is $36â?40k on a salaried basis and depends on experience (plus incentives). This is a full time position with health care benefits and paid vacation. Location will be based in our Madison, WI office.
Travel is required for site visits, coordination with subâ?contractors, interconnection logistics, and client relations.
Reporting Relationship: The position will be under the direction of the Systems Division Mgr., in coordination with the Executive Director.
