What You'll Do
At John Deere Power Systems as a Control Systems Tools Software Engineer you will design, develop, test and integrate software applications to support the development of engine control systems and software.
Participate in the creation of project plans and schedules to meet business requirements.
Analyzes assignments and determines software requirements and specifications which will be used to develop complex software applications.
Apply knowledge of company products, policies and practices to increase productivity and quality through improved processes as part of the software lifecycle.
Provide technical support for engine control tools to engineering, manufacturing, and service organizations.
Ideally you will have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or 3+ years of control systems tools software experience. In addition we require:
1+ years of recent experience developing software with C/C++.
Experience in developing complex applications.
A strong candidate will also have knowledge of engineering tools, CAN, Matlab/Simulink, and experience working with the following technologies: XML, ActiveX/COM, Microsoft Visual Studio, Java, C# and VB/VBA scripting.
