Summary
The QA Developer will assist in designing and will implement QA testing framework components working closely with application developers and other QA team members. QA Developer will support the QA framework. This role will also leads/coordinate testing team ensuring use of client specific processes and tools, develop and execute manual tests and develop and executes automation scripts
Responsibilities
• Coordinate, design, and develop test harnesses and scripts for automated testing in a Windows C++/C# environment using Visual Studio.NET
• Assist with the design and support of QA testing tools and frameworks
• Learn Spot application environment and architecture
• Work with software developers and traders to identify testing needs for internal trading systems
• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for all applications released by the software development team
• Work closely with the release/build manager to optimize our testing process for releases
• Examine and verify reported software bugs
• Act as primary contact between QA and development
Skills & Qualities
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or similar required
• 3 years of software development experience with C++ and/or C# in a Windows environment is required
• Experience with SQL programming required
• Clear understanding of the software development process especially as it relates to QA
• Proven track record in quality assurance working with large, complex software applications with high performance, scalability, and reliability demands
• Familiarity with market data and order execution API's, network programming, and electronic trading application development is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong team player
• Consistent attention to detail
