UX Lead at LEVEL Studios in Los Angeles, CA

The User Experience Lead is responsible for being a leader of the User Experience Design team and working collaboratively with Creative, Technology and Marketing Strategy to create compelling, innovative digital experiences. This role requires the ability to both lead a team and the client through a user-centered design process to develop meaningful experience concepts and to execute those concepts. The User Experience Lead is an idea person who can sell "the big idea" to the client, but who also loves getting their hands dirty in the process. Responsibilities: ? Build a best-in-class team of UX professionals, while constantly striving to improve team capabilities, effectiveness, innovation and future growth ? Mentor, guide and provide support for members of the UX staff ? Aid in business development and provide cost/time estimates for all UX services based upon collaboration with direct team and other discipline managers ? Collaborate with the resource management and recruiting teams in an effort to manage department saturation and hiring/contracting needs ? Work closely with clients to translate business requirements into meaningful interactive experiences ? Manage staff performance, deadlines, client satisfaction Requirements: ? Ability to manage multidisciplinary groups across various offices (minimum of 10 employees) ? Ability to lead, train, and focus on employee career growth ? Demonstrated ability to lead design of complex transactional interfaces, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, and templates for content management systems ? Demonstrated ability to develop big ideas and execute flawlessly against them in a highly collaborative environment ? Experience conducting user research and translating user research into design decisions ? Excellent oral and written communication skills ? Excellent presentation skills ? High tolerance for ambiguity matched only by a desire to organize it Preferred Experience ? 7+ years experience as an information architect, interaction designer, or user experience designer (or similar role) ? Bachelor?s degree in a related field, such as library science, industrial design, graphic design, or human-computer interaction ? Experience with Axure
