Are you looking for the exhilaration you get working for a startup but require the job security of working for an established company? If so Distilled have the perfect job for you. We are an established SEO and web development company and are widely renowned as experts within the SEO industry. Our clients include some of the world's largest brands.

We are looking for an exceptional developer to be responsible for the ground up design and development of a new web application. You will report to a director and together will form the special projects team building both external applications and internal tools - initially focussing on being the lead for the exciting startup project.

You will need to be passionate about writing beautiful code. You will know from hard-earned experience that this isn't always possible with php, but this just spurs you on. You will have commercial experience building well architected web applications. You will have trialed all of the various frameworks around and will no doubt have started your own at some point. You will have more hacked together side projects than you are willing to admit to, and know that if anyone ever saw the source code of work you did a few years ago you would probably die of embarrassment.

The job will throw you in at the deep end as we scramble to architect a minimum viable product. You will be heavily involved in the decisions needed to build something ready to launch. You will be happy with the trade offs required between doing things perfectly now and getting something live that works.

You will know the LAMP stack inside out and will have experience with database design. You will have played with a nosql database to see what all the fuss was about. You will have experience with building APIs and will have worked on a project where scalability was a key concern.

You will be used to a fast-paced environment and will be comfortable working on your own and within an Agile methodology.

- Experience with HTML / CSS / JavaScript

We are willing to consider any reasonable salary request, however we are anticipating paying between £30,000 and £40,000 for this role.
