Do you want to build beautiful code? Not just beautiful web pages, I mean beautiful code. The kind you take a moment to ponder after you write it: an elegant hack; a regex so stuffed with backslashes it looks like it was typed by your cat; the perfect bit of glue to mesh two unfriendly gems into a sum greater than the parts?
Do you want to work in an environment where you're respected and empowered to do what you do as well as it can be done? With peers who will ask you questions and offer answers to yours? Do you want to not just take from the open source community but give back to it? Do you want to further develop your own online community presence, and to attend or even present at conferences?
We need a front-end developer to help complete the evolution of our tool set from PHP to Ruby. Someone who's as comfortable figuring out why the ORM insists on running an extra six hundred queries per page as they are fixing a recalcitrant CSS padding value in Firefox.
Someone who groks MVC and embraces the modern frameworks (Cake, Merb, Rails, etc.) because they're useful tools for building quality sites quickly, not just because they're the flavor of the day.
You bring talent, ambition and an entrepreneurial spirit. We'll bring the opportunity. And the Goldfish. Seriously, there are buckets of them in the kitchen. I don't even know who likes them, we just all eat a few to keep them from overrunning the place.
