VPI has a great opportunity for a full-time
Visual/Interaction Web Designer to join our team.
Our Corporate office is in Brea, North Orange County.
VPI is looking for a creative thinker, who is able to translate concepts into design solutions that support the end user, the stakeholders, and the VPI brand.
The Visual/Interaction Web Designer is a proactive self-starter with a keen understanding of how visual design enhances the overall user experience. The Visual Web Designer for Web Marketing is responsible for conceptualizing and developing on-brand visual designs for all online applications under the management of the Web Marketing and Business Units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design on-brand visual solutions that enhance the usability and overall user experience of online applications (20%).
- Develop visual design style guides and templates (40%).
- Collaborate with business and technology teams (10%).
- Build and deliver digital assets for all approved solutions (20%).
- Perform quality assurance testing on design deliverables (10%).
Education/Professional Experience Required:
- Bachelors of Fine Arts degree, Graphic Design, Interface Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design.
- Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
- Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate.
- A minimum of 3 years professional digital design experience in a diverse corporate environment.
- Fundamental understanding of Web information architecture, interaction design, usability testing.
- Adobe Web Premium CS3.
- Solid working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and other Web 2.0 technologies.
- A digital portfolio that demonstrates the candidate's ability to design and implement graphical user interfaces required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present concepts and defend design decisions.
- Willingness to discover and iterate the best design solution possible within the business, technology and time constraints.
