212Media is looking for a UX/UI designer with front-end coding chops and a passion for good design. You'll work with our Creative Director and product team delivering web experiences for a number of different products and projects. This is a long-term contract position, that may become full-time for the right candidate.
We're a fun, growing team of designers, developers, business folks, and everything in between. To fit in, you must work hard, solve problems, design interfaces like it's your job (because it is), and share our love of clean code and great products.
Qualifications
- You must know Photoshop, Illustrator, or both inside and out.
- Very strong knowledge of standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and Javascript (we're a jQuery house).
- If you design or develop with Dreamweaver or Flash, this is not a good fit for you.
- Minimum of 3-4 years experience designing beautiful, clean, and engaging, web interfaces.
- You must be able to take a project from start to finish including wireframes, UX and UI design, comps, and front-end development.
- You must have a strong knowledge of browser compatibility, issues that arise, and how to solve them.
Bonus If you are a competent or strong illustrator, or have knowledge of mobile design and development, iPhone development, and any other back-end languages or any other relevant skills, that's always a plus so please let us know. But this is a front-end job, and that must be your key strength.
