The Web Project Manager serves as the project lead responsible for project planning, requirements gathering and definition, handling resolution of requirements, design, and testing issues, and coordinating tasks involving dependencies on cross-functional teams.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Develop a working understanding of the client?s overall brand marketing plan and objectives so program deliverables can be reviewed for effectiveness.
- Scope projects and prepare budget estimates and timelines.
- Translate business/client requirements into functional and technical specifications for project developers.
- Manage development projects from initiation to completion to ensure they are completed on-time, within budget and meet or exceed Zulu Creative quality standards and client requirements.
- Conduct meetings and review project deliverables with development team to ensure quality control and adherence to project scope/plan.
- Document all development project activities, including meeting agendas and summaries, with follow up activities
- Track team hours to ensure project remains on-budget and within scope.
- Track project status and ensure all milestones are being met by the development team and the client.
- Prepare scope change documentation for client approval.
- Evaluate/interview potential vendors for web development outsourcing needs.
DEVELOPMENT
- Develop site maps, wire frames and interactive architecture flows to support superior interactive end-user experiences.
- Work in conjunction with graphic designers in the development of site design & functionality.
- Build, test and launch simple to highly advanced HTML email campaigns on-time, on-budget and without any errors.
- Implement basic search engine optimization techniques on all client sites.
- Research and be familiar with the latest programming languages, technology and best practices that can be applied to enhance client marketing efforts.
MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT
- Act as the interactive projects expert retaining and communicating all project history.
- Implement & maintain hosting service and backup needs.
- Implement and monitor Google Analytics for Zulu Creative and client sites.
- Handle website maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Manage support contracts and issue tracking for clients.
- Evaluate/interview vendors for web development outsourcing needs.
- Develop and maintain Zulu Creative quality standards for web design and development, and ensure projects meet standards.
