We are looking for a top notch talent who will innovate in the mobile application space. IGN has already launched the IGN iPhone and iPad app (currently ranked 120,) and we are looking for a senior level developer who can work with the rest of our Engineering team to be part of an execution strategy to build the best gaming review, guides and discovery applications available.
Responsibilities:
Lead the IGN technical roadmap for mobile devices
Architect, design, implement, and deploy mobile applications for IG.
Develop the best of breed applications to service the gaming community
Maintain the existing applications and constantly innovate
Optimize overall performance of the application
Required Skills:
Objective-C with Cocoa (Expert level)
C++ (Intermediate level)
iPhone OS, Mac OS X (Advanced level)
Knowledge of Java and Android is a plus
Great overall understanding of software development process and practices including Scrum, test driven development, unit testing and working in close cooperation with other developers, interaction designers & quality engineers
Familiarity with gaming and entertainment
Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills -- must possess the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to audiences of varying technical acumen
Project management skills - must be able to direct and coordinate all activities necessary to complete major projects requiring a wide variety of technical skill
Conscientious, hard working, flexible, have an excellent eye for details, self-motivated and a quick learner
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field
