We
are looking for qualified candidates with demonstrated experience in the area
of human-computer interaction and the design and development of usable web
applications.
Essential Functions:
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled web
developer who has the ability to take substantial responsibility for the
design, user interaction, and development of a variety of web based projects.
This includes collaborating with others in the user experience team in
designing the user interface and interaction, collaborating with the
development team to implement the designs, and working with computer scientists
to migrate advanced research components into usable systems.
Required
Skills:
- Passion for building beautiful and usable rich web applications that combine cutting edge UI technologies with existing standards
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement compelling and usable interfaces for dynamic web based applications
- Advanced knowledge of DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues
- Expert-level skill with PHP or related technology (JSP or ASP) and some knowledge of Java
- Proven attention to detail and high standards for quality; excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience
- 2+ years designing and building web based applications in a team environment
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent with specialization in Human Computer Interaction
Bonus
- Background in Human Computer Interaction
- Significant experience with user centered design methods, interface design, and usability testing
- Some experience or coursework in AI
