Mint is looking for a passionate individual to join the design
team. It's a broad role, working on projects from social campaigns
for big brands like Benetton
(http://mintdigital.com/portfolio/its-my-time) to proprietary mobile
applications like LivePitch

We aren't just looking for someone who can make beautiful
designs (though that is important). The ideal candidate will be
fascinated by how users interact, what motivates them to click and
how they flow between pages. With luck, you'll be intrigued by
human communication and the ways technology changes what is
possible.
The team works across London and New York. This allows for great
freedom but means the ability to self-direct (and knowing when to
collaborate) is essential.
This is a great opportunity for a designer who wants to make a
difference within a rapidly growing company in an industry where
the rules are being rewritten every week.
Key responsibilities:
- Conceptualise, define and produce well-considered wireframes.
- Produce charming interfaces for mobile and web applications.
- Collaborate with Mint's strategy and technology teams to ensure your designs are realised as wonderful applications.
- Help with other right brain tasks: anything from graphics for blog posts to giving presentations added delightfulness.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Evidence of ability to create stunning visual interfaces.
- Awareness of web/mobile usability best practices and rapid prototyping techniques.
- Adept at knowing when to listen and when (and how) to convince others your way is right for users.
- Desire to reduce complex tasks to simple, intuitive interactions.
- Basic (or better) grasp of HTML5 and CSS3.
- 1-3 years professional experience.
- A love of the grid and minimalist typography wouldn't hurt.
This is a full time position based in London (although you'll
have the freedom to work from home, whatever hours suit your
lifestyle and sleeping habits).
