The type of person we need one that is driven by challenges, loves solving unique and often difficult, technical problems in a compressed time frame, and someone who can keep in mind the requirements of the business and user experience. What we need you to do:
- Create web pages leveraging existing style guide and brand look/feel
- Source deal images and write copy for our deal banner and emails
- Take wireframes and turn them into websites utilizing web design best practices
- Ensure cross-browser compatability for all of our pages
- Create landing pages to capture emails to communicate our deals to prospective customers
- Keep the website integrated with the latest social networking tools (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
What skills you need to have...
- 3+ years professional experience in web development/web design
- HTML/CSS - Expert +
- Illustrator/Photoshop - Good +
- PHP, Javascript - Good +
- Good sense of color, navigation, and space
- Some knowledge of Smarty templates
- Knowledge of browser caveats and pitfalls (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
- Knowledge of user interface and web design best practices
- Keen attention to detail
- BA/BS
- Experience working in a start up environment is a plus
- Knowledge of nightlife venues, alcohol brands and the 21-35 year old consumer is a plus
