We are currently looking for contract or full-time User Experience Developers to join the Zillow team and focus on conceiving and creating rich, innovative, high-powered user interfaces to connect our users to our wealth of information. UX Developers work directly with UX Designers and other developers to implement consistent and flexible interfaces in HTML and CSS, and use JavaScript to bring them to life with responsive, data-driven interactivity.
Required:
Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS with focus on cross-browser compatibility and semantic markup
Expert knowledge of W3C standards and familiarity with the Web Standards Project community
Familiarity with JS 1.5, cross-browser DOM, XHR
Ability to work independently
Desirable:
2+ years HTML/CSS production experience on large-scale, data-driven websites
Familiarity with JavaScript libraries (YUI, Dojo, MochiKit, jQuery, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of CSS2.1 and CSS3
Experience building accessible, progressively enhanced interfaces
Experience with server-side scripting, especially Ruby, Python, or PHP 5
Rapid-prototyping skills
