We are seeking a Sr. Operations Engineer / Systems Administrator to help with exciting technical challenges and a rapidly growing infrastructure.
As a Sr. Operations Engineer at Box, youll be tasked with challenging projects that involve the full LAMP stack. Your work will help to scale for rapid growth, automate complex processes, and build reliable and robust infrastructure. Along with LAMP experience, you should have a strong understanding of TCP/IP and web architectures.
Responsibilities
Maintain, support, and enhance Linux systems using cutting edge tools
Improve monitoring, graphing, and logging
Configure and deploy network infrastructure: switches, routers, load balancers, etc.
Research and implement new technologies to enhance our architecture
Respond to Operations incidents on rotation
Identify and address single points of failure, scaling bottlenecks
Automate and optimize processes
Qualifications
Quick learner, excellent problem solving skills
Past experience at a web property
Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and administering the LAMP stack
Solid understanding of OO software design principles and the MVC architecture
Understanding of full web stack, including network
PHP, Python, or Perl ninja (with implicit shell scripting expertise)
