FLASH APPLICATION DEVELOPER
Hanson Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Flash ActionScript Developer for contract work. The selected applicant will work as part of a team of talented designers and engineers to develop sophisticated applications for our varied clientele. Please supply examples of work that:
• Exhibits pixel perfect attention to detail
• Show understanding of complex user interactions
• Illustrate ability to use motion and user-feedback to produce fluid experiences
• Show an understanding of creating digital solutions that transcend the web, such as mobile and interactive point-of-sale kiosks
• Must have a portfolio and/or URL links to examples of work
Required Tasks:
The ideal candidate will be a strong AS3 developer with great attention to detail. He/she must be able to produce high-quality work bringing design concepts to life with motion and interactivity. We seek candidates who are passionate about the business and can thrive in a deadline-driven environment. Ideal candidate will possess between 3-5 years industry experience.
Required Skills:
• 3+ years experience developing web-based projects
• Solid experience with AS 3.0
• Deep understanding of Object Oriented Programming, programming design patterns, and their applications / limitations.
• Very familiar with event listeners and garbage collection
• Solid skills with creating complex objects and animation with AS3
• Solid experience integrating Flash applications with server applications and databases - database design and implementation experience a plus
• Good knowledge of supporting programs for working with imagery (Photoshop, Illustrator), audio, and video.
• Good eye for design and composition.
• Basic knowledge of other web development technologies (XHTML/CSS /JavaScript/PHP/mySQL/XML)
• Be able to switch gears quickly and effectively while requirements are being established
• Ability to execute concepts with great attention to detail and craft
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Experience working with and understanding site maps, user flow diagrams, wireframes and other information design documents for websites
• Strong communication skills that will allow you to work well with teams across the agency in both a written and verbal capacity
