Stack Overflow, Inc. is a venture funded startup seeking a Marketing Manager to establish and lead all aspects of marketing related functions of its Internet based services businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual seeking a green field opportunity to build the marketing functions of the company from a very early stage and be a key contributor to our success story.

At Stack Overflow, our mission is to Make the Internet a better place to get expert answers to your questions and thus become the top network of Internet based Q&A communities. Best of all, these communities are actually all free! We have a good start and have already built the top site on the Internet for programming questions. However, we still have lots of work to do because there are a million other highly technical fields that could use a great free service like Stack Overflow. Also, to keep our venture capital investors happy, well have lots of fun building a huge business out of this too!

The Marketing Manager will have B2B and B2C marketing experience at an Internet based products or services business. The right individual must showcase a proven track record for executing marketing programs that lead to measurable improvements in market awareness and increased productivity of the sales process pipeline. Also, this person will know how to laugh out loud in the workplace and understand the importance of listening to really smart people on the development team and also providing stellar support to the sales team, our customers, and our Internet communities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create supporting collateral, presentations and sales tools that convey the benefits and value proposition for all products tailored to specific business customer and end-user audiences
Define messaging, write copy and work with web-site designers to drive online sales
Develop and implement marketing programs that support the products we sell and also promote the Internet communities we are building
Measure and manage the ongoing productivity of the marketing plans and projects
Assess new opportunities such as new events, sponsorships and advertising to forward business objectives and then to manage all such activities
Measure and manage social marketing channels and public relations activities of the company
Work with the executive team and sales leadership to help define target accounts and markets
Develop and manage programs to generate qualified leads for the sales team
Analysis of customer research, evolving market conditions and competitors
Remain current on Internet industry issues and participate in our communities

Job Requirements
Solid 5+ years B2B and B2C marketing experience (prior experience at an Internet services company strongly preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (samples required)
Strong knowledge of digital media technology and the online advertising industry
Strong work ethic with a curious nature and eagerness to experiment and learn
Willing to eat free lunches, have great benefits and work on a fun team
Solid organizational, project management and time management skills
Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
MBA or BA/BS degree from an accredited institution
