We are seeking a Head of IA to work from our New York headquarters. You will be tasked with co-strategizing and partnering with team members to create great experiences for key strategic projects. You will identify and design effective customer-centric interaction design and information architecture solutions that deliver on LivePerson's business goals and provide a foundation for future innovation. You will work collaboratively across the organization to conceptualize, design and test user experiences for both our B2B chat products as well as the B2C website and related products and tools. What would you own?
? Cooperate on strategy and translate along with business requirements, user research findings and usability best practices into interaction design and information architecture solutions that deliver on business goals.
? Understand the balance of user experience, business needs, technical feasibility and time-to-market, and make trade-offs where appropriate.
? Create interaction design artifacts such as competitive analyses, personas, site maps, navigation flow, and functional wireframes.
? Participate in developing and maintaining appropriate interaction design documentation, processes and standards.
? Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and produce quality work in a fast-paced environment.
How would you help others?
? Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Design, Product and Engineering to conceptualize, design, test and implement innovative product solutions.
? Present recommendations and negotiate win/win solutions with project team members and management.
? Identify and potentially lead design and development of user research needs; observe and oversee usability studies.
? Promote and champion customer-centric design methodologies.
What you need to bring?
? Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Human Computer Interaction, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors or other related discipline; or four to six years related experience and/or training in interaction design, user experience design or information architecture for web applications or consumer web sites; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Solid understanding of the fundamentals of interaction design, user-centered design methods and common web and user interface conventions.
? Broad understanding of dynamic, data-driven web sites and associated technologies and proficiency with a range of appropriate software tools.
? Experience working on highly-trafficked consumer facing media or e-commerce website.
? Professional experience collaborating in a team environment with the ability to build consensus.
? Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
? Comfortable communicating with, presenting to and taking input from a variety of people, including senior management.
