The Wall Street Journal is looking for an UX/Information Architect who
- Is passionate about solving problems and communicating solutions, with strong organizational skills
- Is interested in innovative experiences and new media.
- Understands shared product experiences across different platforms
- Thrives on tight deadlines and multiple, parallel projects
- Enjoys working with multi-disciplinary teams
- Understands the capabilities and limitations of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and Flash
- Is familiar with Visio, OmniGraffle, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and comfortable learning new technologies
NOTE: Previous experience working with Market Data and mobile interfaces a plus
Job Responsibilities:
Conceptualize projects from description to detailed specifications:
- Work as part of the Product team to translate business goals into interactive solutions
- Produce creative concepts, prototypes and storyboards to communicate solutions to core team and major stakeholders
Create documentation used by Business, Development and QA:
- Site Maps
- Use cases
- Detailed wireframes
- Technical, editorial, and usability specifications
- Functional requirements
Contribute to user research and usability testing
- Work with the Research team to create testing scripts
- Create testing materials
- Provide iterative solutions based on user feedback
Last, but never least
- Advocate for the end user
