Sanders New Media is a small but mighty development shop focused on engaging and captivating users through the web. We work with a wide variety of clients across the board from broadcasting to non-profits. We architect and engineer projects ranging in scale from viral social media initiatives to large-scale integrated campaigns. Whether the project involves blending APIs together or rolling out a full-scale CMS we sweat the details. Our projects are typically creative and necessitate an attention to detail.
We work in the Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The office has all the nice things that developers need (xboxes and roof-decks) as well as inspiring company. A telecommuting position is open for the right candidate as well.
Our ideal candidate should:
+ Be self-motivated, passionate about emerging technologies as well as industry best-practices.
+ Be able to write HTML / CSS / Javascript solutions in their sleep (while dreaming about REST-ful APIs).
Have a special kind of love for Python and the Django Web Framework. A background in PHP is a plus but not required.
+ Have a strong knowledge of Actionscript 3 and Flex. As well, a fervent passion for creating Flash-based solutions that don't involve the Flash Application itself.
+ Understand or use Git or other DVCS.
+ Be able to setup and manage a linux web-server, database server or even a caching server.
+ Be comfortable with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
