Overview
The Lead Developer role requires you to be passionate about and well versed in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and client side programming. Professional experience with the software development life cycle - from concept to deployment - is a must. The candidate must be familiar with at a multitude of web development frameworks and/or CMS systems, with demonstrated capabilities in at least two. This position will require some interaction with clients, but mostly you will work closely with the Design and User Experience teams. The ideal candidate will have an eye for design and layout, and recognize the importance of the small details of well executed design and layout.
This position will predominantly focus on end-user oriented applications that integrate with back-end systems. There will also be opportunities to develop for new and emerging platforms, tablet devices,and mobile.
Responsibilities
- Developing client side code, which includes HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, AJAX and integration with Flash.
-Working with clients' back-end teams on service endpoint implementation and communication.
-Working closely with Visual Design and User Experience team members to define customer requirements, formulate the design, and developing creative solutions to client problems.
-Designing and documenting complex software systems.
-Following and tracking changes in the technology landscape, such as HTML5 and CSS3.
-QA and bug fixing/tracking.
Skills/Qualifications
- 4-6 years professional experience as a Developer.
- Experienced with cross browser HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Highly experienced with at least one Javascript framework, such as JQuery or MooTools.
-Working knowledge of least one web application framework (e.g. Symfony, Zend Framework, Django, Ruby on Rails, etc.)
- Working knowledge of at least one CMS (e.g.: Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, etc.)
-Highly organized and detail-oriented multi-tasker with a strong sense of ownership of process and results.
-Ability to find efficient and effective solutions to complex problem and to keep up to date with new directions, changes, and trends in the technology landscape.
-A high level of written and verbal English communication skills, including client communication and documentation skills.
- A College degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
