Fundación En Vìa needs volunteers to tutor English in the town of Teotitlán del Valle.
Fundación En Vía is a non-profit micro-finance organization working to fight poverty around Oaxaca and to educate travelers from around the world about the power of microfinance. We provide interest-free micro-loans to help women start or expand their small businesses, and are working to build on that with a broad range of other programs ? from education to financial literacy to environmental support.
In January we launched an initiative to provide free English classes to women and children in town. With our team of volunteers, we are teaching classes to 40 students in the pueblo twice per week. Currently, we are looking for tutors who can commit to two classes per week for at least FOUR weeks. We have two afternoon classes and two morning classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
