PatientsLikeMe is an exciting company in the social health
space that builds data-oriented patient communities. We're looking for
an experienced User Experience Designer who wants to ensure great user
experience and create elegant solutions for a product that makes a
difference in patients' lives.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop wireframes, prototypes, and final concepts
Use your conceptual and problem-solving skills to translate ideas (business needs and user goals) into design solutions
Collaborate
with an agile team of Product, Engineering, Research and Marketing
staff and customers to create elegant solutions to complex problems
Assist in the development of use cases, functional and strategic requirements
Get to know and love our users, what they need and how they think
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A solid portfolio of previous work, especially user interfaces for web-based applications
4+ years of user-centered design experience
Mastery of standard design applications
Strong knowledge of principles of UX and UI design
A passion for learning, willingness to try new things and take chances
Desirable:
Understanding healthcare industry and patient needs is a big plus
Experience designing data visualizations
Experience with Agile development process
Experience conducting or observing usability tests
