Have you just got your degree and are now raring to get working on exciting new projects?
Tagadab Ltd is a small company (there are just 8 of us) making a big splash in the dedicated and virtualised hosting space, and were looking for a keen junior developer to help us drive the business forward. Youll join me to work on both existing and new systems.
We work mainly in Ruby on Rails, but you dont have to be a ruby or rails guru to apply for the job; what is more important to us is to be smart, have a thorough knowledge of at least one programming language, and be eager to learn. (If you do know Ruby and Rails already, so much the better!)
This would ideally suit a new graduate, or someone who has a bit of work experience and would like to develop both customer-facing interfaces and back-end processes in OO Ruby and Ruby on Rails, and provides an excellent opportunity to hone your OO design and development skills.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- implement new features into existing systems
- participate in the design and development of new systems
- write efficient, easy-to-maintain code
- write automated tests for your code
What were looking for:
- Either a degree in Computer Sciences or similar, or 6 months development experience
- Knowledge of either C, Java, Perl, or Ruby
- Good HTML knowledge
- Good Database (preferably MySQL) and SQL knowledge
- Comfortable working on Mac OS X and Linux
- Javascript a plus
The salary for this post is £25,000 per year with real possibility of more responsibility and renumeration with experience.
Unfortunately, this position is only open to candidates in possession of the right to work in the United Kingdom.
Emails from all candidates welcome, but no agencies please.
