Senior .Net Developer at well funded Chicago Start Up ($75/hour) at PerkSpot (Chicago, IL)

PerkSpot, a leading employee perks and loyalty company, is looking for a talented senior application developer to work on a contract basis for the next 2-3 months (can be considered for full-time employment). You will gain exposure to the inner-workings of a thriving Chicago startup having recently raised capital to support future growth. We will pay up to $75 per hour for the right candidate.

The senior developer will work with our existing development team on a fun and complex solution that is revolutionizing the way employees access and enjoy the perks and benefits made available by their employers. The position will be primarily hands on coding, but it will also require some technology leadership and analytical skills to decipher complex business requirements.

The ideal candidate must be able to hit the ground running and have a strong background in web development, database design, and developing mission critical applications. Professional, experienced, and self-motivated developers only.

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, IS or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience required

Technical Skills:

Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft .NET development with demonstrated experience using ASP.NET C# 3.5/4.0
Strong, demonstrated knowledge of database design and creation of stored procedures, triggers, and views (Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008)
Proficient with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience designing/developing/consuming Web Services
Demonstrated knowledge of Object Oriented Application Design
Knowledge and understanding of XML
Experience with MVC2 a big plus (or demonstrated experience with MVC architecture in general)
Other Skills

Must possess ability to work in a small development team and perform in demanding multi-tasking environments
Good verbal and written communication skills are a must
Ability to decipher business requirements and transfer into development
