Well hello there,
NJI New Media is a 3 year old
interactive shop with offices in Old Town, VA and we're looking for a
Front-End Developer to join our team.
We're looking for someone that can
slice a layered PSD into a HTML/CSS template to be used for either a
Wordpress or Drupal theme. We need you to be able to produce
xHTML-Strict code. Fast.
We want the
kind of person looking to work in a fast-moving environment where where
the quality of the work is paramount and the opportunity to grow is
huge.
The must have skills for this Front-End Developer are:
- 3+ years of hand-coding HTML/CSS development
- Ability to produce table-less layouts
- Intimate knowledge of Photoshop at a minimum, Adobe Creative Suite recommended
- At minimum, cursory knowledge of PHP, Javascript, jQuery
- At minimum, cursory knowledge on implementing Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Google API's
- Tracking the latest techniques in developing standards-driven layouts
Recommended skills are:
- Experience building themes for Wordpress and Drupal
- Comfortable working with a team of designers and developers
- Skills building or styling mobile apps and mobile web apps
- 3+ years of hand-coding HTML/CSS development
- Strong Photoshop skills
- Strong experience building Wordpress themes
- Strong experience building Drupal themes
- Experience with PHP
- Experience Styling with jQuery
- Experience working with at least one of the following API's: Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google
For extra bonus points:
- A deep love of cheeseburgers
- A love of dogs (we have 2 in the office)
- A sense of humor
About Us
We're a small but growing
interactive shop and we've got a ton of great projects to work on. We're
in a loft space on right on King Street, and you can eat your lunch on
the bank of the Potomac. We're an all Apple shop, so you'll get a great
machine with tons of memory and a big display. Here's the best news, we do not check our sites for IE6 compatibility.
